I think he (she?) would look amazing on a beach. <33 Like, he's trotting right on the shoreline and a small wave is brushing up against his front hoof. x3 And then like mountains in the background. Annd.. xD I better stop.

this is coming along FANTASTICALLY!!...is that a word? well, this quality of work deserves a new word made up for it ^-^ wow, im just speachless. ive been keeping up with all the wips and i am just so excited about this piece, lol.
as for backgrounds, i never know what to do myself. you cold always try several things and then just keep the best one. i think cool colors would make the horse itself pop out..like the beach idea people keep throughing out? idk
very very nice work though, very inspiring =D=D

no background, only her shadow, maybe some color changes (like in dark portraits) and a hint of some grass.
Pose and detail here are so breathtaking I wouldn't put something onto it that "competes" with the horse
